2025 China-Korea Economic Development Forum Announcement
October 23–26, 2025 Jeju Island, Korea
Forum Announcement
1. Introduction to the Forum
The Korea-China Economic Development Forum is a high-level dialogue platform with a global perspective, bringing together leaders from government, industry, academia, and research. It is dedicated to building a nexus between regional cooperation and global issues. Against the backdrop of profound changes in the international landscape and the accelerated restructuring of the global economic order, the question of how to promote regional symbiosis, institutional trust, and knowledge co-creation amid waves of multilateral coordination, green transformation, and digital transition has become a crucial issue for Asia-Pacific cooperation.
Since its inception in 2023, the forum has been successfully held in South Korea (Seoul and Suwon) for consecutive years. In 2025, as the APEC Summit takes place in Korea, the forum will be jointly hosted by Kyonggi University, Peking University, the Asia-Pacific Association of Economics and Management, the Korean Economic Association, and the Korea China Chamber of Commerce. This year’s theme is "Reconstruction of the Global Economic Order: Challenges and Opportunities for the Asia-Pacific," and the event will gather authoritative experts from government agencies, university think tanks, business leaders, and international organizations. Centered on Korea and China, and radiating throughout the Asia-Pacific region, the forum aims to foster consensus through dialogue and embrace the future through cooperation.
The forum will feature keynote speeches, high-level roundtables, government-business sub-forums, academic sessions, paper competitions, and achievement showcases, providing a cross-national, cross-sector, and cross-cultural platform for exchange and collaboration. It seeks to promote synergy among theoretical research, policy recommendations, and practical applications, contributing to the building of a shared future for the Asia-Pacific community.
